It was Monday the 12th of February 2008, and John sat staring in to space though the second floor window overlooking the east end of Princes Street. Princes Street had bead one for the liveliest, loud and congested places in Edinburgh but that had been long gone. What it was replaced with was the seat of what was now called Freedoms end.
